SmåRådina Bergen inviterer til Returning The Names// Navnenes tilbakekomst:
Returning the Names began in Moscow in 2007 as an initiative of Memorial, the human rights organization awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022 and forcibly dissolved by Russian courts. Today it is carried on by independent activists in many countries.
Together, we read out the names of the victims of political repression in the Soviet Union and today’s Russia. The names have long been “forgotten”, but now the archives have been carefully restored by Memorial. The activists from Returning the Names and SmåRådina invite everyone to come by Bergen Assembly and read a name or two, and stay for Open Mic afterwards. There will be poetry reading and a possibility to give a speech, talk from the heart or just spend this important event together.
Arrangementet er gratis og åpent for alle.
